Tampa man, 61, accused of molesting 8-year-old girl

TAMPA — A 61-year-old man accused of molesting an 8-year-old girl at knife point was arrested Thursday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

William George Perez showed a small pocket knife to the girl about 4 p.m. Wednesday and ordered her to come upstairs to his apartment, an arrest affidavit shows.

Perez then forced the girl to sit on his couch, where he molested her, according to the affidavit.

Moments later, Perez's 10-year-old son, who knows the victim, saw the girl crying on the couch.

Perez faces lewd and lascivious molestation and false imprisonment charges.

He was booked into the Hillsborough County jail, where he remained Friday evening without bail.
