Tampa man charged with attempted murder in June shooting

TAMPA — Police have arrested the man they say shot and injured 39-year-old Oscar Lizardi-Rivera on June 27.

Kirk Gutierrez, 30, was arrested Thursday and charged with attempted first-degree murder. Police say Gutierrez shot Lizardi-Rivera several times during an argument in the 1700 block of E Annie Street in Tampa.

Gutierrez fled the scene, but witnesses identified him as the shooter, according to police.

Authorities issued an arrest warrant July 18, and he was arrested Thursday afternoon. He remained in jail without bail.
