TAMPA — A 59-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for cutting and raping a woman.
Miguel Perez Gonzalez was drinking and using cocaine with a 30-year-old woman about 4 a.m. in an apartment near N Dale Mabry Highway when they got into an argument.
Gonzalez pulled out a small pocket knife and cut the woman's throat, causing a minor injury. He then locked the door of the bedroom they were in and sexually assaulted the woman, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
The woman called 911. Deputies arrested Gonzalez at the same apartment. He faces aggravated battery, sexual battery and false imprisonment.
Gonzalez was booked into the Hillsborough County jail, where he remained Thursday morning without bail.
