Tampa man in critical condition after shooting outside his home

TAMPA — A 39-year-old Tampa man was critically injured in a shooting Monday evening outside his home, according to police.

The shooting happened near E Annie Street and N 18th Street about 5:50 p.m.

Officers found Oscar M. Lizzardi lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

Tampa Fire Rescue took Lizzardi to Tampa General Hospital, where he was in critical condition early Tuesday.

The motive for the shooting was unclear.

Police seek two men who were each carrying a handgun.

One man was described as Hispanic, in his early 30s, about 5 feet 8 to 6 feet and stocky. He had short dark hair and was clean shaven.

The second man was described as Hispanic, in his mid to late 30s, 5 feet 9 to 6 feet 1 and thin. He had short dark hair and also was clean shaven.

Police described their vehicle as an early model four-door burgundy Buick, or a similar vehicle.
