Tampa personal trainer faces fourth charge of sexual battery

TAMPA — Deputies have charged a Tampa personal trainer with another count of sexual battery.

James Elbert Williams, 39, already faces sexual battery charges in incidents involving three female clients. The new charges come after deputies determined Williams' actions toward a fourth client, a 44-year-old woman, were criminal.

More than 30 women have come forward describing interactions that range from creepy to criminal, and deputies continue to investigate.

Williams was arrested July 22 near Little Rock, Ark., on a sexual battery warrant — his third arrest. At about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, he arrived in Hillsborough County and was booked into jail here.

The newest charge is in connection with an incident that occurred between February and March of 2010, deputies say.

Detectives ask anyone else who was a victim to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at (814) 247-8200.
