Tampa police arrest 10 in weekend prostitution sting

TAMPA — Two female police officers nabbed 10 men in an undercover prostitution sting Friday night.

At Nebraska Avenue N and McBerry Street E about 10 p.m., police arrested Leroy Blue, 22; Jeffrey Hays, 48; Thomas Mellow, 42; Daryl Bennett, 54; Adelo Merces-Pena, 43; Mathew Mobley, 23; Carlos Rivera, 22; Sergio Anibal Ramirez, 43; Jose Luis Hernandez, 26; and Angel Luis Oquendoramos, 31. All were charged with solicitation of prostitution.

    KISSIMMEE — A Kissimmee police officer died and a second was gravely wounded Friday night, police Chief Jeff O'Dell said.
