Tampa police arrest 10 men in prostitution sting

TAMPA — Police arrested 10 men along Nebraska Avenue late Wednesday in a sting initiated after a Seminole Heights resident complained of prostitution problems in the area.

A female officer went undercover as a prostitute starting at 10 p.m. The Tampa men facing a charge of soliciting prostitution are:

Wesley Rork, 52; Daniel Vasquez, 38; Willie Bedford, 52; Evan Martin, 48; Isreal Gonzalez Alcantara, 24; Bruce Carpenter, 52; Arthur Brown, 47; Rood-Ley Germain, 27; John Jeune, 22; and Damon Johnson, 24.

Police also arrested Jayne McDonald Holler, 47, on charges of prostitution.

The department said Thursday that it will continue to run these types of stings regularly to combat prostitution in Seminole Heights.
