TAMPA — A 22-year-old man was in critical condition Saturday night after he was shot leaving a friend's home, according to Tampa police.
The shooting victim was walking to get into a car outside 8807 Crestview Drive at 7 p.m., police said.
Two witnesses heard gun shots and then saw the young man fall to the ground. They also saw a man in a red T-shirt and jeans running through the woods and away from the scene.
Officers used police dogs to search the area for the shooter and then went door-to-door to look for witnesses. The victim was not identified by police.
