Tampa police look for four liquor store robbers

TAMPA — Police are searching for four men who walked into a liquor store Thursday morning and stole money from a register and a safe.

The four suspects walked into VIP Liquors at 6905 N. Armenia Ave. at 1:07 a.m. with black hoodies on and black T-shirts tied over their noses and mouths, according to Tampa police.

Three of the men pulled guns while one man jumped over the counter and demanded the clerk open the register, police said.

Once the register was emptied, he demanded the clerk open the safe in the office.

All four ran from the store with the contents of the safe and register and were last seen headed north through the parking lot.

An extensive search with helicopters, dogs and officers failed to locate any of the suspects.

Anyone with information about this crime can call the Tampa Police Department at (813) 231-6130 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
