Tampa police looking for bank robber who fled on bike

TAMPA — Police are looking for a man who robbed a bank and then rode off on a bicycle Friday morning.

Just before 11:30 a.m., the man entered the BB&T bank at 4820 S Himes Ave., walked up to a teller, implied he had a gun and demanded money, according to Tampa police. The teller gave the man cash, and he fled the bank on a light green mountain bike.

Anyone with information about the crime can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477) or text "CSTB plus your tip" to 274637 (CRIMES). Anonymous tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 in cash.
