Tampa police: McDonald's cashier robbed dropping off cash at a bank

TAMPA — Police are searching for a man who approached a McDonald's cashier at a bank and ordered his cash to go.

The robber suddenly appeared near the outdoor drop box at the SunTrust Bank at 2208 E Fowler Ave. at 5:11 p.m. Thursday, according to Tampa police.

He grabbed at the two nightly deposit bags Victoria Kinney, 21, was trying to shove into the night drop boxes.

When she struggled, the robber pointed a black handgun wrapped in a pink T-shirt at Kinney and threatened to kill her, she told police.

Once he wrested away the bags, the robber jumped into the back seat of a silver, four-door Ford Taurus, police said.

He is described as Hispanic, age 22 to 29, 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-6, 175 pounds, with a medium complexion, short hair, some facial hair and wearing black sunglasses with a silver chain.
