Tampa police search for man in connection to Sunday killing (w/ video)

TAMPA — Police released surveillance video of a man they believe might have information about a Sunday morning fatal shooting.

The man, seen in the video wearing a light colored shirt, appears to greet another man before getting into a dark four-door sedan, possibly a Hyundai, outside the Palladium bar, Tampa police said. The video was captured shortly before the shooting.

Detectives say the man may have information about a shooting that occurred about 3 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Armenia Avenue and Alva Drive that left 23-year-old O'Shay Lindsey Vondel Lewis dead.

Lewis and his passenger, David Williams Jr., 24, were in a 2006 Nissan Altima on Armenia when another vehicle pulled up along the Nissan and fired shots into the driver side, police said. Williams Jr., who was sitting in the back seat, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Anyone with information about the man in the surveillance video is asked to call Tampa police at (813) 231-6130.
