TAMPA — Police are looking for a man they believe has robbed five banks in Hillsborough and Pasco counties.

Tampa police say that a man walked into the Bank of America at 15301 Amberly Drive in New Tampa about 12:30 p.m. Monday, handed the teller a note that implied he had a gun and demanded money. The teller gave him money, and the man ran, heading east through the parking lot.

Police describe the robber as a white male in his early 30s, about 5 feet 11, 170 pounds with a beard. He was wearing a blue University of Florida Gators hat, a black long-sleeve shirt and jeans.

Police are asking anyone with information to call (813) 231-6130.
