Tampa police search for suspects in liquor store robbery

TAMPA — Police are looking for four young suspects who robbed a liquor store at gunpoint early Thursday.

At about 1 a.m., four teenage boys wearing bandanas over their face entered VIP Liquors and Bar, 6905 N Armenia Ave., and ordered customers and employees down on the floor, according to a police incident report. At least two of the teens were armed, police said.

They forced the store clerk to open the register and the store's safe and ran away with an unknown amount of cash. No shots were fired and no one was injured.

Tampa police scoured the area with a helicopter and police dogs overnight but had not found the suspects.

The robbery remains under investigation.
