Tampa police seek man who robbed Regions Bank Saturday

TAMPA — Police are turning to the public to ask for help identifying a man who robbed a Regions Bank branch Saturday in South Tampa.

The man, who was described as being in his mid 30s, walked into the bank, at 5115 S Dale Mabry Highway, just before 11 a.m., police said. He stood in line before approaching a teller window. Once there, he slid a note to a teller demanding money, police said.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled north on foot. During the robbery, the man wore a dark Tampa Bay Rays ball cap, yellow reflective sunglasses, a long-sleeved rugby-style shirt with blue, yellow and white stripes. He had a large tattoo on his neck and a single gold tooth.

Anyone with information regarding the man's identity is asked to call Tampa police at (813) 231-6130.
