TAMPA — Detectives were investigating a shooting early Monday that left one man dead and injured another at a strip club, police said.
The shooting was reported just before 3 a.m. at Flash Dancers, 4202 W Cayuga St.
Cornelius R. Dix, 26, and Jose M. Ortiz, 20, both of Tampa, were shot during a disturbance at the club, Tampa police said.
Dix died at the scene, police said. Ortiz was taken to a local hospital, reportedly serious condition.
The details of the shooting were not released Monday morning, and no further information was immediately available.
