Texas man charged with luring Clearwater girl faces more charges

CLEARWATER — A 19-year-old Texas man charged in connection with the disappearance of an 11-year-old girl now faces additional Pinellas charges, sheriff's deputies said.

Deputies said they found the girl with Richie Urich, of 7319 Fair Oaks Ave., Dallas, in an Orlando apartment Friday. She had been missing since Thursday night. Deputies said the girl met Urich in Texas, and kept in touch electronically.

The girl, whom the St. Petersburg Times is not identifying because of the nature of the crime, moved to Clearwater with her family three months ago.

Urich is being held in Orange county, charged by Orlando authorities with lewd and lascivious conduct. Pinellas Sheriff's deputies issued warrants Saturday charging Urich with interfering with child custody and traveling to meet a minor.
