A third person has been charged in connection with the shooting death Friday of a Tampa man at a north Tampa apartment complex, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.

Deputies found Damian Santos, 23, slumped over in the driver's seat of his car at the Casablanca Apartments on Hansel Lane. He had been shot in the head.

Allen J. Waddell, 22, of 2919 Forest Reserve Place in Seffner, was arrested at his home on first-degree murder and robbery charges, the Sheriff's Office said.

Santos had arranged to sell marijuana to Joshua D. Green, 21, of 8207 Mulberry St. N of Tampa, and Matthew J. Green, 22, of 14521 Hensel Lane, unit 204, of Tampa, according to investigators. The men are not related.

Records indicate a group of men tried to rob Santos of his drugs and money. Armed and wearing masks, the assailants killed Santos during an altercation.

The suspects got away, but deputies caught up with Joshua Green and a female witness Friday at Florida Hospital Tampa after Green's mother checked him in with a gunshot wound to his left leg. Authorities arrested Green and questioned the witness. Both implicated Matthew Green, who was arrested later Friday at his home without incident. Both Greens are charged with first-degree felony murder and attempted armed robbery.
