SPRING HILL — The Hernando County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Wednesday morning robbery by three gunmen at the Tampa Postal District Federal Credit Union.

Authorities said the men, all of whom were wearing black ski masks, entered the bank at 4094 Deltona Blvd. about 9:45 a.m. and began demanding money from bank tellers. According to Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Sgt. Donna Black, two of the robbers were armed with 9mm handguns. The third man had a revolver.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of money from a teller, the robbers fled in an unknown direction in a 1990s model white Dodge Stratus with dark tinted windows and an unknown temporary tag.

There were no injuries in the holdup. The bank robbery was the fourth one to occur in Hernando County in 2008.

The Sheriff's Office did not release full descriptions of the robbers, but said they were considered armed and dangerous.
