RIVERVIEW — Three teens were charged Tuesday with misusing the 911 emergency system and making threats to "blow up" dispatchers and deputies, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
On the evening of Dec. 20, dispatchers received four emergency calls over the course of about two hours. In one call, the subject threatened to "blow up the dispatcher, and come down to the dispatch office and shoot the dispatcher with a shotgun," the Sheriff's Office said. In another call, the subject threatened to "blow up police officers who come out and shoot the helicopter out of the air."
Bettyann Valencia Jones, 17, Javon John Mills, 17, and Eric Marqual Telemaque, all of Riverview, were taken into custody Tuesday after admitting their involvement in the phone calls.
