SEFFNER — A tipster called the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office early Thursday to identify a man seen trying to rob a CVS Pharmacy Wednesday.

Deputies arrested Scott Robinson, 34, at his home in Brandon at 2 a.m. Thursday, according to arrest records. He is accused of walking into a CVS Pharmacy at 704 W Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. and demanding the prescription pain killers oxycodone, roxycodone, or Opana as he threatened violence.

Deputies say he ran before the pharmacist could give him the pills. Surveillance photos of the robbery attempt were circulated to news outlets. The tipster called the Sheriff's Office at 1:05 a.m. Thursday and said Robinson was the robber, deputies said.

Robinson was charged with strong-arm robbery (less than $300), contempt of court for failure to pay child support and violation of probation for driving under the influence. He was held in the Hillsborough County jail Thursday afternoon without bail.
