Officers received a report of shots fired at about 11:25 p.m. Thursday in the 1900 block of E. Genesee St., northwest of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 22nd Street. They were on the lookout for a Kia Sol and soon spotted a vehicle matching that description fleeing the area at a high rate of speed. The Kia had been reported stolen from Tampa International Airport, police said.
