Two Clearwater men accused in Largo home invasion

LARGO — Two Clearwater men armed with a knife invaded a Largo apartment Sunday night, demanding cash and drugs, police said.

Harold Gamel Baker, 40, and Jejuan Marcel Johnson, 20, were arrested on charges of felony home invasion robbery, Largo police said.

Police are investigating whether a third person also was involved.

Baker organized the robbery and Johnson, who was known to the victims, knocked on the door to gain entry, according to police.

After one victim recognized Johnson and opened the door, police said Baker rushed inside and ordered the apartment's occupants to the ground at knife-point.

Baker then threatened violence and demanded to know where "drugs and money were kept," according to a police report. The men made off with $35, police said.

Baker and Johnson were in the Pinellas County Jail Monday. No bail amount was listed on jail records.
