Two injured in St. Petersburg home invasion robbery

ST. PETERSBURG — A man and a woman were pistol-whipped and bound with duct tape in their apartment early Friday in a home-invasion robbery, police said.

Police said two men forced their way through the locked doors of an apartment building on 12 St. N about 4:40 a.m. and then into an unlocked apartment.

They pistol-whipped Kristin Craig, 22, and Robert Launder, 21, and bound them with duct tape before taking a game console, police said. The two were taken to St. Anthony's for treatment.

The suspects wore masks and carried handguns.
