Two men accused of carjacking bar patron

ST. PETERSBURG — Police arrested two people they say carjacked a man they'd met at a bar and gotten a ride from last week.

Jon Stout, 21, of 2805 28th Ave. N and Daniel Brown, 32, of 1590 34th St. S, were arrested Tuesday on charges of carjacking with a deadly weapon. Both were being held at the Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

According to arrest affidavits, Stout and Brown met the unidentified victim Thursday while playing pool at Dooly's Pub, 2329 28th Street N. They asked the man for a ride, then attacked him at the 2800 block of 29th Ave. N.

Police said the victim, who thinks he was hit with a 2 X 4 piece of wood, sustained injuries to his head and torso. He said Stout and Brown were strangers to him.

The two men then took the man's car, police said. The victim identified them from a photo pack.
