ST. PETERSBURG – Two men suspected of robbing a 7-Eleven at gunpoint Monday have been arrested.
Levette McCrea, 29, of St. Petersburg and Watis McCrea, 36, of Clearwater were charged with robbery with a deadly weapon or firearm. Both remained in the Pinellas County jail Tuesday morning in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Police said the two walked into the store at 3956 Elkcam Blvd. SE with weapons under their clothes at 1:04 a.m. They stole $121.88 from two cash registers, police said, and were found about 20 minutes later in a white Chevrolet S-10 with the money and the guns.
The crime was captured on store videocameras.
Levette McCrea has previous arrests for drug possession and battery; Watis McCrea, for domestic battery.
