Deputies arrested two men Friday who they say robbed a 60-year-old man in his Palm Harbor home.

Thomas E. Murphy, 27 of Dunedin, and Joshua Ludes, also 27 and of Clearwater, were both arrested during a traffic stop after detectives learned of information to link them to the crime, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.

On Thursday, two men broke into the home of Michael A. Serritella, which is located in the 100 block of Mayfair Circle W. in Palm Harbor. Serritella had just turned 60 the day before. During the robbery the two men hit Serritella in the head. He was later taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Murphy and Ludes were both charged with home invasion robbery and taken to the Pinellas County Jail. Ludes was held on $150,000 bail. Murphy, who has been arrested multiple times for burglary and dealing in stolen property, was held without bail.
