Two Tampa men accused of downloading child pornography

TAMPA — Deputies arrested two men Thursday accused of possessing child pornography, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

Investigators with the Internet Predator Unit executed a search warrant at 4915 Oakshire Drive, the home of Eric Wiley Knight. They confiscated two computers and several media items about 7 a.m. Computer forensics revealed they contained images of children between 3 and 13 years of age, deputies said.

Knight, 23, was arrested and later admitted to downloading the images.

About two hours later, investigators also searched the home of Michael James Navas at 14103 Basin St. They recovered two computers, which also contained child pornography.

Navas, 30, admitted to downloading the files. He was also arrested.

Both men face dozens of child pornography charges and were booked into the Hillsborough County jail.

Knight was being held at the jail Friday in lieu of $420,000 bail. Navas also remained at the jail in lieu of a more than $1 million bail.
