TAMPA — Police on Wednesday were investigating a shooting in northeast Tampa that left two teenagers injured.
Officers responding to a number of 911 calls found two boys with gunshot wounds in the 6700 block of Shadeville Lane, near the 40th Street bridge over the Hillsborough River, according to Tampa police.
Antwan Brown, 17, was shot twice in the abdomen and once in the arm. He was taken to Tampa General Hospital and listed in stable condition, police said. Michael McKinnie, 16, was shot in the ankle. His condition was not immediately released but his wound was not considered life-threatening.
Two people were seen leaving the scene in a silver Toyota, police said. Investigators do not believe the shooting was random.
