Up to 30 handguns stolen in Lithia crash-and-grab burglary

LITHIA – Up to 30 handguns were stolen from a hardware store early Friday, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they responded to a burglary alarm at 1:51 a.m. at the Ace Hardware Store, 10415 Highway 39 S. Someone had driven a vehicle into the store, crushing the doors and windows, deputies said.

The suspects then removed 25 to 30 handguns, deputies said.
