PORT RICHEY — Tempers flared while the couple drove down a dirt road behind Carrabba's Italian Grill near U.S. 19. When the argument got too intense, deputies say, Angela Marie Rowland's boyfriend leapt from the truck's window.

The boyfriend, whose name is not listed in a Pasco Sheriff's report, turned to walk away, but the front passenger side of the truck struck him. He told deputies from his room at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, that he was dragged down the road before he was able to push himself off the front bumper.

Deputies found Rowland at her home at 10131 Old Hickory Lane, where she told them she was trying to drive away after her boyfriend hopped out of the window, but he grabbed onto the truck. She gave deputies a false social security number and told them she never went by the last name of Wells, which is listed as her alias.

Rowland, 31, who lists her job as manager at a Taco Bell, was arrested on a charge of aggravated domestic battery, falsely identifying herself to a law enforcement officer and violation of probation.

She remained in the Land O'Lakes jail Monday in lieu of $20,150 bail.
