Wife wields cleaver in fight over phone with husband, report says

NEW PORT RICHEY — Authorities say Hannah Saguindel Padovano kicked her husband, wielded a meat cleaver and threatened to throw boiling water at him — all because he tried to take her ringing cell phone outside.

The argument happened about 8 p.m. Monday, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report. The ringing cell phone was inside Padovano's purse, which the husband tried to take outside, the report said.

Padovano, 23, told deputies she only kicked her husband because she wanted her purse back, the report said.

She was arrested at 9229 Via Segovia Drive on a charge of domestic aggravated assault and domestic battery and taken to Land O'Lakes jail, where she remained Tuesday without bail.
