Woman, 27, found shot to death inside car in Crystal River neighborhood

CRYSTAL RIVER — A 27-year-old woman was apparently shot to death early Wednesday near Reynolds Avenue and Crede Street, officials said.

Multiple calls reported shots fired in the area about 3 a.m., according to the Citrus County Sheriff's Office.

When deputies arrived, they discovered Jamie L. Seeger, 27, inside a gray Chrysler in the middle of the intersection at W Cyrus Street and N Reynolds Avenue.

Seeger had been shot multiple times. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

No suspects were immediately identified in the incident, which is being investigated as a homicide.
