TAMPA — A woman was arrested on a first-degree arson charge Wednesday, hours after firefighters had extinguished a burning home, according to Tampa Fire Rescue.
Witnesses pointed investigators to Veronica R. Shelby, 26, who listed no address.
It took fire crews five minutes to put out flames in the kitchen of 105 E Oleander St. shortly before 2 p.m., according to Tampa Fire Rescue.
Shelby, who authorities said did not live at the Central Tampa home, was being held without bail Wednesday night at the Hillsborough County Jail.
