Robin Michelle Watkins, from Ocoee, was inside her mother's home at 355 S Gulfview Blvd. Sunday morning when Watkins accused her mother, Verlynn Halcomb, of losing her keys and purse, according to police.

The fight escalated and Watkins jumped on Halcomb "and bit her left cheek, causing a large chunk to be rended from same," according to a police report.

Police said Watkins also hit her three times with a telephone receiver and threatened to strangle her with the cord.

Watkins was charged with aggravated battery resulting in disfigurement, tampering with a witness and simple battery. She is being held in the Pinellas County Jail on $35,150 bond.
