Woman accused of stealing from New Port Richey Publix

Woman accused of stealing from Publix

Deputies say she stole an anti-aging roller, sexual lubricant and lice treatment.

On Jan. 27, a security guard noticed Regina Elizabeth Ruble, 31, take the products into the women's bathroom of the Publix at 9850 Little Road, a Pasco County Sheriff's Office arrest report said. A store manager went into the bathroom and Ruble left one of the stalls, the report said. Three empty boxes, matching the items, were strewn on the floor.

Ruble left the store but someone took down her license plate number. Deputies arrested her Tuesday night on a charge of retail theft. She told deputies she took the items "because she didn't have money."

Ruble, of 6934 Nova Scotia Drive, remained Wednesday at the Land O'Lakes jail in lieu of $150 bail.

She was arrested on the same charge in January 2011 when a report says she stole five bottles of cologne from the Sears at Gulf View Square mall.
