Woman arrested on DUI charge in Holiday had child, 8, in the car


Woman accused of DUI; child was in car

A 49-year-old woman is accused of driving while intoxicated with an 8-year-old child in the car, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

Phyllis J. Taylor, who is unemployed and lives in Tennessee, was arrested at 11 p.m. Wednesday at a home in Holiday, where deputies were called for a domestic dispute.

Taylor drove up to the house while authorities were there, according to a report.

She is charged with DUI, child neglect and domestic battery. She was released from jail Thursday.


Missing man, 61, found at hospital

A 61-year-old man who was listed as a missing endangered adult Wednesday has been found.

Joseph Thomas Beck left his assisted living facility in Port Richey Tuesday night, saying he was depressed and hallucinating, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

He was found Thursday at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey, deputies said. Details about his condition were not available.
