Woman injured in East Tampa shooting
Police are investigating an East Tampa shooting that injured a 33-year-old woman Monday evening.
Tampa police responded about 6:30 p.m. to a call about shots being fired during a neighborhood disturbance in the 3700 block of N 52nd Street, near Grant Park. Officers found a woman shot in the upper right chest or shoulder. She was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where she was described as being stable.
Detectives were working Monday night to determine the circumstances of the shooting and identify a suspect, a police spokesman said.
