Man, 61, charged with sexual battery of teen

A 61-year-old man is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl.

Max W. Lindemuth was arrested Tuesday and charged with sexual battery by a person older than 24 on a victim aged 16 or 17. Lindemuth and the girl admitted to having sexual activity "on several occasions," according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report.

Due to the nature of the allegations, authorities did not identify the girl or say how she knew Lindemuth.

Lindemuth, of 5544 Laura St. in Zephyrhills, is being held at the Pasco jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
