Zephyrhills man fires gun into car, deputies say

ZEPHYRHILLS — A 56-year-old man is in jail on a charge of attempted murder after he shot at two men in a car, Pasco deputies said.

The argument was about an ongoing dispute Johnny McCleland had with one of the victims about a woman, said Pasco sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll.

The shooting happened Tuesday morning outside of McCleland's house at 4039 Edwin Drive, a report states. McCleland reached into the car and fired his gun as the car drove away, deputies said.

No one was injured.

McCleland is also charged with burglary, for allegedly reaching into the car. He is being held without bail at the Pasco jail.
