Zephyrhills teen accused in string of car burglaries

ZEPHYRHILLS — An 18-year-old Zephyrhills High School student was arrested early Sunday in connection with a string of car burglaries.

Pasco Sheriff's deputies say Christopher Joseph Anderson, of 37021 Tucker Road, broke into five vehicles early Sunday morning on Coral Street.

According to the arrest report, Anderson admitted to burglarizing or attempting to burglarize approximately 30 cars in the area. He also told deputies he was a member of the Bloods gang, the report said.

Anderson was charged with five counts of auto burglary and four counts petty theft. He remained Monday at the Land O'Lakes jail in lieu of $25,600 bail.
