Zephyrhills teen accused of selling drugs on school grounds

ZEPHYRHILLS - A 16-year-old Zephyrhills High School student was arrested Wednesday on charges she was selling marijuana on the school grounds, Zephyrhills Police said.

The girl — whose identity was not released because of her age — was found inside a car on the school parking lot at 1:20 p.m. with other students.

Authorities she had a "large amount" of marijuana packaged for sale, oxycodone pills and several hundred dollars in her backpack and more marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the car.

The girl was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, selling marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of oxycodone and drug paraphernalia.

Two boys — ages 17 and 16 — also were arrested on charges of possession of marijuana.
