LITHIA — Sirens will blare from the C.W. Bill Young Regional Reservoir on Wednesday morning as Tampa Bay Water tests its emergency alert system.
The test will be begin at 9 a.m. and will include three to five blasts, each lasting 10 to 20 seconds, Tampa Bay Water said.
Monthly tests of the system will take place at 9 a.m. on the first Wednesday of every month at.
In the event of an emergency at the reservoir, the sirens would alert nearby residents to evacuate the area.
