Deputies seek public's help in search for St. Petersburg man who has mental health issues

ST. PETERSBURG — Authorities are asking for the public's help in a search for a man who wandered away from his home earlier this week.

Bang Quoc Luong, 35, of 3505 58th Avenue North, Lot 63, suffers from schizophrenia and auditory hallucinations, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

Luong's family reported him missing on Monday. They told deputies he has walked away in the past, but always returned home.

Luong has black hair, brown eyes, is about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 185 pounds. Authorities don't believe he is taking his medications.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Anthony Stevens at (727) 582-6408.
