DUNEDIN — A 32-year-old man crashed his car into his home Monday night.
Douglas Lance III was headed north on Live Oak Drive about 10:40 p.m. when he hit a palm tree at 400 Live Oak Drive, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Deputies said Lance kept driving, turned west onto Dogwood Lane and pulled into his driveway.
Again, Lance kept driving, crashing into the north end of his duplex at 442 Dogwood Court, deputies said. Neighbors called 911.
When deputies arrived, Lance had already backed the car out of the home and stepped out.
Deputies said he had injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to Mease Dunedin Hospital as a precaution. No one else was injured.
The home had some structural damage, deputies said.
An investigation continues.
