An explosion in a Brandon mobile home late Thursday afternoon left one person critically injured, firefighters said.
The cause of the explosion, which happened about 4 p.m. at 836 Center Ave., was unclear Thursday night.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating the possibility that the trailer was used as a methamphetamine lab.
A man, who was not immediately identified, was flown to Tampa General Hospital with critical burns, authorities said.
About an hour after the blast, firefighters were preparing to go inside the mobile home to investigate.
Sheriff's deputies who are specially trained to investigate hazardous drug labs also planned to go in to help determine the cause of the explosion.
The home sits west of S Kings Avenue and south of Bloomingdale Avenue not far from the north shore of the Alafia River.
