RUSKIN — A family was evacuated from their home Thursday night after a depression formed in their yard, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue said.
The incident was reported just after 9 p.m. in the 1300 block of Third Avenue. The opening measures about 7 feet long and about 2 feet deep.
It formed about 10 feet from the house. Investigators later determined the opening was caused by a septic tank on the property and was not a sinkhole, said fire rescue spokeswoman Nacole Revette.
No further information was immediately available.
