ZEPHYRHILLS — Wearing a black theatrical mask, a man robbed a bank in Zephyrhills May 19, and the FBI is offering a $500 reward to whoever helps find him.

In a press release sent Monday, the FBI provided photos of the robber, who reports say entered the Chase Bank at 7800 Gall Blvd. at about 9 a.m., armed with a gun.

He held three employees at gunpoint, telling them to fill a bag with money.

At one point, reports say, he fired a shot into the floor as a warning to fill the bag faster. He pointed the gun in several employees' faces.

When it was done, he fled the bank on foot.

Reports say witnesses saw a man who fits the robber's description get into a dark-colored, four-door Honda Civic. It was a later model, possibly 1998 to 2006.

The robber, a white man in his early 20s, was about 6 feet tall and weighed 140 to 160 pounds. He had short, red hair.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 873-TIPS.
