Brush fire closes road in Ruskin

RUSKIN — A 10-acre brush fire forced the closure of Cockroach Bay Road Saturday, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

The afternoon fire in an area with several abandoned nurseries and greenhouses also temporarily closed CSX tracks in the area, but they were re-opened. The fire was under control Saturday evening, but Cockroach Bay Road remained closed, Fire Rescue said.
