EAST LAKE — Another brush fire was reported at the Brooker Creek Preserve Thursday, the latest in a series of fires that sparked in that area this week.
The blaze measured about 10 acres, but no injuries were reported and no homes were in danger, East Lake Fire Rescue said.
The Florida Forest Service is monitoring the preserve as some spots continue to smolder. Fire officials said north Pinellas residents may smell smoke, typically in the mornings, during the next few days.
The forest service may also perform some controlled burns to avoid the chance of other brush fires.
